Our Weekend

I know that I haven't posted in awhile, but not much has really gone on. Saturday we went to this Lunar New Year festival, however, we didn't last long. We thought it would cater to children as they advertised, but Creed wasn't wanting to sit too long and the first part took 30-45 minutes. Needless to say, Bill ended up in the car with him. Once they started serving a Korean lunch, that Jenna was very disappointed that we didn't eat, we left. Brodie was glad that we didn't eat there, not that he would have eaten anything they served. After that I went to my next door neighbors and did a 16 page layout. It was a lot of fun.

After dinner was done, I started not to feel so great. Ended up in bed all day yesterday. I'm feeling much better today. Not sure if it was something I ate or if it was a bug. I do know that my neighbors have been skirting something. Bill has to be the best husband ever!! He took great care of the kids, took care of me (bringing me crackers and checking up on me), emptied the dishwasher, loaded it and picked up the dining room and living room. Also, gave the kids a bath!! I'm so grateful for him!!

HEDOUBLEHOCKEYSTICKS!!!

Bill has been out at Camp Carroll since Wednesday. Ms. Tina came yesterday instead of Tuesday, my friend Shelina asked me to switch with her. She's done it for me several times. So, Thursday came and Ms. Tina was here. It was a very nice day and I got several things done. Of course when Ms. Tina is here, Creed does NOT take a nap. Needless to say, after getting up at 5:50 am, around 5:00 pm he was a CRABBY MUFFIN!!!!! He didn't want to eat, wanted to take a bath, gave him a bath and then was very upset that he didn't get to stay in with Jenna and Brodie. Needless to say after several hours of crying, Mommy just couldn't take it anymore. He was in bed by 7:00 and asleep shortly after that. He slept all night, but going to bed that early, means getting up early. Up at 5:45 this fine morning. You would think he would have slept in, but NO!! I'm really hoping today he'll take a nap.....a LONG one at that!

Happy Birthday!!!!!!

I wanted to say a big Happy Birthday to my Mom aka Mimi. Hope you had a happy one!!

I also wanted to say...welcome to the world Patrick Ryan Schimmer!! Born this morning (U.S. Sunday morning) to my best friend Jenny and her husband Ryan. Congrats to them!!!

Our Weekend

Not too much going on around here. We picked up our house every time Creed decided to get into something he shouldn't be in. Examples of these actions are: pulling the plug on the water in the fridge so 2.5 gallons of water are ALL over the floor; discovering that he CAN open doors by himself; getting into the bathroom to play in the potty, under the sink, in the drawers; getting in the fridge to get yogurt, then eat some of it and spread the rest on the himself and the dining room floor. Isn't this SUCH an exciting life?????

Today was super nice and got to play outside for several hours. Brodie fell and scrapped up his forehead. He was thinking he had another hole in his head. Just think, just about a year ago, he fell and hit his head on the dining room chair and did get a hole in his head, to get stitched up. I did tell him he didn't have a hole, just a scrap. He was glad that he got a Scooby Doo band-aid to make it ALL better.

Hopefully it will be nice all week, so they can get some fresh air...before the yellow dust arrives and we're stuck in the house.

Jenna

I have great news regarding Jenna. I took her to the eye doctor today. He said that her eye is improving!! She is now working both of her eyes instead of just her left eye. She still has to patch her "good" eye for 2-3 times a week until she turns 6. This is good too, since we were having to do it everyday. He didn't change her prescription--which is always a good thing!! She still has to wear the bifocals, but says that she can see better with them. Instead of having to go back in 6 months, we can actually wait a year.

Hurray for you Jenna!

New next door neighbors

Our NEW next door neighbors got the keys today!! Yay!! They will slowly be moving in the week and be completely moved in this weekend. It all depends on how much help they have and if they can get a truck. How hard would that be...not really speaking the language and trying to get a truck. Not something that I'd want to do!

Say a BIG welcome to the Eskridges!

Cool Whip

Who doesn't love Cool Whip?? Look at the little thief I caught with it!!!

Bob The Builder

As we know, Creed LOVES Bob The Builder. So much in fact, he was trying to be him tonight. I guess the handle on the fridge needed to be "fixed".

World Thinking Day

Today Jenna and I went to the Girl Scout "World Thinking Day". It was spent with korean Girl Scouts. We had a lot of fun. Jenna was the hit of all the Korean Girl Scouts. I was very impressed with the fact that Jenna tried some of the Korean food. She ate these sandwiches that had ham and some sort of egg type salad and these spicy Korean noodles. She did pass on the kimbop aka sushi. Here are some pictures.

Rainy Day

Today is a rainy day. All day I believe. Just when we're getting spoiled with the REALLY nice weather, we get rain. Oh well....I guess it's better now than it will be during monsoon season.

Not too much going on around here. Just the normal every day stuff. Dishes, laundry and picking up too much stuff.

Last night I went to my coffee (for those of you whom don't know what this is, basically a bunch of ladies getting together, and the spouses work together). It was nice. The lady who hosted it lives in a high rise apartment...on the 23rd floor!! It's very nice, brand new. She has some Korean make up ladies come and I was their model. I thought they did a nice job, just something I don't think I would accomplish every day. I guess I think sleep is more of a priority than getting make up on my face on a day to day basis. Maybe I should try a little harder to do that and my hair. We'll have to see.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day/night. Whatever time it may be for you!

Large Painted Dogs

I just wanted to let all of you know, of course, whom may be interested.....the big white painted dog was back!! Along with the white painted puppy. So, after I'm elated about this, my husband, whom I love very much, says......."I guess the brown one was big enough to eat for the entire family!!" I'll keep you updated as to if the brown dog comes back from the dead too! =)

Our Saturday

Not much new going on with us. We went to lunch, where the kids were magnificent!! They ALL behave very well. Once we got in the car, Creed had a major meltdown. Needless to say, I stayed with him while he took a nap and Bill took Jenna and Brodie to the play land at E-mart. After that, he took them bowling. Jenna bowled a 116, Brodie bowled a 133 and Bill bowled a 166. These kids are getting pretty darned good at bowling. I guess when you don't have much around for small kids to do....well, you go bowling. They love it and here it's cheap entertainment.

Bill gets Monday off for the Superbowl. Since it will come on here in the morning, I'm sure we'll just be having a regular breakfast instead of chips, dips and beer.

Blogging Here

I've just discovered these blogs...thanks to downstairs Jen! I was blogging at myspace, but thought it would be more easier to blog here.

First and foremost, I am very concerned where the "painted" dogs have gone. I'm afraid that the Koreans had a New Year's feast. The two dogs are gone....to be replace by a cute little white puppy....that of course has painted on eyeglasses. Need to stop by and get a picture. My husband paints the picture this way. You can IMAGINE that they were rescued and are living in a mansion. Eating lots of yummy food, have a nice warm bed, etc. Or, you can face the facts and come to terms with where they REALLY are.

Point taken, but it doesn't make it any better for me!
